The location of this resort is so good, away from the city buzz, making it a perfect place to relax. The room was spacious, and the bed was so comfortable I’m already missing the sleep I got there. The breakfast is delicious, and the service was superb throughout. I left feeling fresher than ever! Just a tip: bring some extra spray for the mosquitoes, even in paradise

Veranda High Resort is a unique and peaceful jungle retreat featuring massive suites with huge balconies equipped with private tubs and daybeds. The grounds are visually stunning, and dining at the High Room and Rabiang Chang was delicious. Tucked deep in the mountains, it is a 25-minute drive into town, the bathroom lighting is soft, and the outdoor tub fills slowly, but falling asleep to the sounds of nature (and a harmless jungle gecko or two) makes it an incredible luxury escape.
We felt totally comfortable as gay travelers here. Since we visited outside of peak season, the resort grounds were beautifully quiet and relaxed, allowing us to fully unwind in a safe and accommodating mountain sanctuary.

It serves as an incredible basecamp between active adventures exploring Chiang Mai. The food is incredible, and booking a massage on-site is an absolute must. Being a secluded jungle retreat, it is smart to pack your own specialty amenities like downtown sunscreens or medicine, and you might spot a friendly lizard outdoors, but it is an unmatched sanctuary for rest.
