Many Thai resorts can boast of beachfront access and spectacular views, but not all of them take proper advantage of these features. With design that highlights the scenery and expansive grounds of natural beauty, Rayong Marriott Resort & Spa achieves this.

Rayong Marriott Resort & Spa is located just two and a half hours away from Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport. This makes it both an ideal place to escape the city for those already in Bangkok and a convenient beach getaway for visitors just arriving in Thailand.

Even better, the hotel is just a 20-minute drive from Sri Ban Phe pier, from which regular ferries depart to Koh Samet, Thailand’s gayest island destination. You can go enjoy the gay weekend beach parties for the day and then come back to your slice of luxury in Rayong in peace.

    Style & Design

The design of the Rayong Marriott Resort is fully dedicated to highlighting the beauty of the Thai coastline. The huge windows, vast terraces, and large ocean-facing swimming pool are prime examples of this. Everywhere you look, you feel like you have just stepped into a brochure, with lush tropical greenery, cerulean water, and powder-white sand. Inside the rooms, the decor is tastefully toned down to once again let the view do the talking.

As the name indicates, Rayong Marriott Resort offers excellent spa facilities. Quan spa is located in the middle of the beautiful grounds of the resort, and large windows give you the impression of being fully immersed in nature.

The beach is right there, but you will have a hard time dragging yourself away from the huge lagoon-style pool, complete with water slides (for grown-ups too!) and a tropical aquarium. When you do, you can head straight to the Island View Pool, which has a perfect view of the sunrise and sunset over the Gulf of Thailand.

The hotel’s international restaurant has incredible views, but it’s the beachfront Fish Bar, with its exceptional seafood dishes, which is the culinary highlight.

The rooms come in two main categories: Deluxe and Premium. The Deluxe rooms all come with floor-to-ceiling windows and elegant modern decor, but the Premier rooms take it a step further by essentially transforming your whole wall into a window. The best news is that all rooms come with gorgeous views of either the mountains or the sea. For those looking for a proper treat, there are also luxurious suites.
